After a much deserved two days off from game action, the Bulldogs (6-2-1-1, 2nd Island) return to pod play tonight as the "visit" the Cowichan Valley Capitals (2-9-1-0, 4th Island) at the Multiplex.
The Bulldogs last played Wednesday night, where they won their fourth straight 5-3 over the Victoria Grizzlies. The Capitals played last night, where they lost their seventh straight 5-1 to the Victoria Grizzlies.
This is the fourth head-to-head meeting with the Bulldogs carrying a record against the Capitals of 3-0-0-0. The first meeting saw the Bulldogs stage a dramatic comeback into the final seconds of regulation to win 5-4 in overtime on April 3rd. Following that, they earned a 5-0 win on April 10th. The most recent meeting saw the Bulldogs emerge victorious by a 4-0 score on April 17th.
I'll be on the air on 93.3 The Peak FM tonight when Pacific Chevrolet Bulldogs Hockey goes live for the pregame show at 6:45, with the play-by-play following at 7:00pm Pacific.
Tonight's 2nd Intermission is a little different than usual. While I usually go around the league or back in time with Bulldog alumni interviews, tonight and tomorrow we'll feature Bulldog Forward Stephen Castagna in an interview he did with the BCHL's Coordinator of Content Services Jesse Adamson from the BCHL Podcast last week after he was named the BCHL's Player of the Week.
