Bulldogs visit Capitals tonight at the Big Stick *6:00pm start*


It's the final regular season road game tonight for the Bulldogs (25-26-2-2, 4th Island) as they head down to Duncan to visit the Cowichan Valley Capitals (35-14-5-2, 1st Island) tonight at the Cowichan Community Centre.


The Bulldogs had last night off, last seeing action Wednesday night at home, where they lost their fourth straight, 8-4 to the Clippers.  The Capitals were in action last night in Nanaimo, where they dropped  a  last-minute 2-1 decision  to  the Clippers.


This is the eighth and final regular season meeting between the Island Division rivals, and a potential first round playoff match up, The Bulldogs are 5-2-0-0 head to head, while the Capitals are  2-2-3-0.

These teams last met January 22nd at the Dog Pound, a 5-4 Bulldog win in overtime. Before that, they met December 13th in Duncan, a 3-2 Bulldog win - again in overtime. The Capitals earned a 6-4 win at the Multiplex on November 30th. The Bulldogs won 6-5 in overtime in Duncan on November 23rd, and also earned a 4-3 win over the Capitals at the Dog Pound on October 25th. The Bulldogs won the first meeting of the season in Port Alberni 3-1 on October 5th, after the Capitals earned a 3-2 win in the first meeting of the season on September 20th in Duncan.
