Bulldogs return from break tonight, host Capitals *6:00 puck drop*

It's back to action tonight for the Bulldogs (12-22-1-0, T-5th Island) following the Christmas break, as they host the Cowichan Valley Capitals (10-21-4-1, T-5th Island) for a 6:00pm puck drop tonight at the Multiplex.

The Bulldogs last saw action in BCHL play on December 16th at home, where they dropped a 4-2 decision to the Nanaimo Clippers. The last played together against the Kazakhstani Junior National team in an Exhibition game on December 18th, falling 5-2 to the Kazaks.

The Capitals returned from their break last night, dropping their second in a row 4-3 at home to the Powell River Kings

These teams last met on December 8th in Duncan, a 4-1 Bulldog win.  Tonight is the fifth game in the season series. The teams have split the first four - with all wins by the road team. The Capitals won by a 4-1 score at the Multiplex on November 13th. The previous meeting was a 4-0 Capitals win on September 15th. The Bulldogs won the first meeting 3-2 in a shoot out on September 7th

Note the unique start time of 6:00pm, which means Van Isle Ford Bulldogs Hockey on 93.3 The Peak goes live at 5:45 for our pregame show,  with the puck drop to follow. Bruce MacDonald handles analysis and colour commentary while I take care of the play-by-play.

It's a replay of the Very Merry Bulldog and BCHL Christmas specials in the 1st and 2nd Intermission shows tonight.
