It's the second of a six game home stand tonight for the Bulldogs (18-24-3-3, 5th Island) as they host the Victoria Grizzlies (21-23-4-0, 4th Island) for the final regular season meeting between the teams.
The Bulldogs were last in action Sunday afternoon at home, where they won their second in a row 7-3 over the Coquitlam Express. The Grizzlies were at home last night where they lost their third in a row 7-5 to the Penticton Vees. The Grizzlies had a 5-1 lead late in the second, before the Vees scored six unanswered through the last minute of the second and into the third.
These teams met last Saturday in Victoria, with the Bulldogs picking up a 6-3 win to take a 4-3 lead in the season series.
It goes without saying that this is a critical game for both teams - the Dogs are four points back of the Grizzlies for the final playoff spot in the Island Division. You can bet that the Grizzlies will come out with a desperate effort with something to prove, and the Dogs need to match and exceed that effort if they hope to come out on top.
