Bulldogs Broadcasts should sound better......

Cool stuff today at the rink as Island Radio Engineers and Technicians from Telus are here in the Broadcast Booth as we speak installing a Broadcast Audio Connection directly to Peak Studios on 3rd Avenue.

What does is mean? Think of it as basically a direct connection from the rink to the studio, as opposed to the phone line connection we use now. Yes, from the top of Roger to 3rd Avenue is a long way for a direct connection....I don't understand how all the technology works!

Lets just say it's a considerable investment for the company, with Bulldogs Broadcasts and 2009 World U17 Challenge Broadcasts in mind.

While road games will still sound the game, fans should notice a big change in the quality of audio that comes from us here at the rink.

I got kicked out of the booth while they installed stuff, so I took some pictures of the process and of the rink.

I don't know what this thing is called, or how it does what it does...but I really like the brand name!
Some U17 sights.....

I'm starting to get just a LITTTTTTTTTTLE excited for the 2009 World U17's!

Great news, so should we stay home and listen tonight? (just kidding)

In a nutshell Hammer, the dedicated link is a 'always there' set of copper lines between in this case, the rink and the Peak that doesn't involve the phone system at either the rink, the Peaks's studio, or the Telus building on 6th ave.
