Bulldogs return home to host Express to conclude weekend

It's the first meeting of the season between the teams, and the third game in two and a half days for both of them, as the Bulldogs (10-18-1-0, T-4th Island) return home this afternoon to host the Coquitlam Express (16-11-1-0, 3rd Mainland) for a 2:00pm puck drop.

The Bulldogs were in Powell River last night, where they snapped a three game losing streak with a come-from-behind 3-2 overtime win over the Kings. They were also in Powell River Friday night, where they lost 5-3 to the Kings. The Express began their Island road trip Friday in Victoria, where they lost their sixth straight, 10-6 to the Grizzlies. they were in Nanaimo last night, where they snapped a six game losing streak with a 3-0 win over the Clippers.

We'll be live from the Multiplex on 93.3 The Peak FM starting at 1:45 for the pregame show, with the puck drop to follow at 2:00pm on Van Isle Ford Bulldogs Hockey Broadcasts. Bruce MacDonald provides colour commentary an adds analysis while I call the play-by-play.

Catch another edition of the Island Division This Week in the second intermission. It's produced by Clippers play-by-play voice Dan Marshall of 106.9 The Wolf in Nanaimo, and is a compilation of the Island Division broadcasters providing highlights, previews and recaps of the week that was and the week coming up
