Bulldogs visit Capitals tonight to finish three game set

It's the finale of a mid-season mini series between these teams, as the Bulldogs (13-23-3-4, 4th Island) head down to the Island Savings Centre tonight to visit the Capitals (8-30-4-2, 5th Island) for the third head to head match up in just four days.

These teams met last night at the Dog Pound, with the Bulldogs coming up with a 7-6 double overtime win in a wild and crazy game.

Not only is it sure to be a great game, just due to the implications on the standings, it's also sure to be a fantastic atmosphere with a sold out crowd due to Roger's Hometown Hockey in Duncan today. The Bulldogs again need to keep their desperation and work ethic at a higher level than the Capitals. Easy to say, and hard to do of course.

As always, 93.3 The Peak FM will be there to bring the game to you, on Pacific Chevrolet Bulldogs Hockey. The pregame show is on the air starting at 6:45, with the puck dropping just after 7:00pm. I'll take care of the play-by-play, Dan Tisserand will compile and provide team and player stats.

Tonight's 2nd Intermission guest is former Bulldog Captain Tryg Strand, now a SENIOR with the CIS's Guelph Gryphons. Hard to believe he's into his fourth season of University!

Here's a gorgeous goal from Tryg!
