It's the first meeting of the season between the teams, as the Bulldogs (8-15-2-4, 4th Island) host the Surrey Eagles (15-12-3-1, 3rd Mainland) this afternoon at the Multiplex for the Bulldog's annual Teddy Bear Toss game.
The Bulldogs were in action at home last night, where they lost their third in a row, 5-2 to the the Penticton Vees. The Eagles meanwhile were in Powell River last night, where they snapped a three game losing streak with a 5-2 win over the Kings. This is their third game this week, as they were in Chilliwack on Wednesday night, where they fell 3-2 in double overtime to the Chiefs.
Don't forget to bring your Teddy Bears/Plush Toys to throw on the ice when the Bulldogs score. It's fun to watch, but the lasting impact certainly comes when the Bulldogs get out and about in the community to deliver the bears in the coming weeks to the less fortunate people of the community, and individuals who need a "boost"
Some Teddy Bear goals from years gone by....
