It's game two of a four game home stand tonight for the Bulldogs (7-9-1-2, 4th Island) as they host the Merritt Centennials (7-10-2-0, 7th Interior) for the first meeting between the teams this season.
The Bulldogs last played Wednesday night at home, when they snapped a four game losing streak and five game winless streak with a 6-3 win over the Cowichan Valley Capitals.
The Centennials meanwhile kicked off a three game Island/Mainland weekend swing last night in Victoria, where they won their second in a row, 6-0 over the Grizzlies.
93.3 The Peak FM has got you covered if you can't make the game - or get the best of both worlds and bring a pocket radio with you like some fans do - Van Isle Ford Bulldogs Hockey is on the air at approximately 6:45 for the pregame show, with the puck drop to follow just after 7:00pm. Bruce MacDonald provides analysis and adds colour commentary while I'll handle the hosting and play-by-play duties. Dan Tisserand is a game time decision to cover team and individual statistics.
We'll continue with our series of Alumni Interviews during the 2nd Intermission show - tonight's guest is former Bulldog (2014-2015) Billy Christopoulos, now in his third season with the NCAA's Air Force Academy Falcons. Billy is another great story, as he came to the Bulldogs from the USHL as a 20 year old in his final year of eligibility still in search of a scholarship. The rest they say, is history.
An update - he was just named the AHC's Goalie of the Month for October. Way to go Billy!
