Bulldogs head down Island to visit Capitals tonight

It's another edition of the "Battle of the Valleys" as the Bulldogs (8-12-2-3, 4th Island) pay the Capitals (2-19-3-1, 5th Island) a visit tonight at the Island Savings Centre.

The Bulldogs last played Sunday afternoon in Coquitlam, where they halted a four game losing streak with a 4-2 win over the Express.

The Capitals were last in action Sunday afternoon as well, as they lost their third in a row while their winless streak hit nine games with an 8-2 loss to the Chiefs.

This is the fourth head to head meeting between these Island Division rivals already this season, with the Bulldogs winning all three previous contests, most recently 6-3 on November 1st at the Multiplex. The only previous meeting in Duncan saw the Bulldogs pick up a 2-1 overtime win on October 13th.

All the action can be heard as always courtesy of 93.3 The Peak's Bulldogs Hockey brought to you by Pacific Chevrolet. I'll take to the air for the pregame show at 6:45, with the puck drop and play-by-play to follow at 7:00. Dan "the stats man" Tisserand will be on hand to tabulate team and individual statistics.

Tonight's 2nd Intermission guest is former Bulldog Connor Varley (Best Defenceman 2010-2011) who's into his second season of his professional career with Epinal in France after playing last season with the EIHL's Manchester Storm.
