Bulldogs back home tonight to host Capitals

After returning from a three game weekend road trip empty handed, it's back to action tonight on home ice as the Bulldogs (6-9-1-2, 4th Island) host the Cowichan Valley Capitals (2-13-2-0, 5th Island)


The Bulldogs were last in action Sunday afternoon in Langley, where they lost their fourth straight 5-1 to the Rivermen. The Capitals also last played on Sunday afternoon, as they fell 4-1 on Home Ice to the Chilliwack Chiefs.


This is the third head-to-head meeting between the Dogs and Caps this season, with the Bulldogs winning the first two, the and most recent meeting 4-1 at the Multiplex on October 14th. The first meeting was in Duncan on October 13th, a 2-1 Bulldog win in overtime.

It will be nice to have some company in the broadcast booth again, as Bruce MacDonald provides colour commentary and analysis while I handle the hosting duties and call the play-by-play. Van Isle Ford Bulldogs Hockey on 93.3 The Peak FM is on the air for the pregame show starting at approximately 6:45.


Tonight's 2nd Intermission feature guest is Jared Thomas, the play-by-play voice of the Merritt Centennials on Q101 FM in Merritt, with the Cents paying the Dog Pound a visit on Saturday night.
