The Dogs enter play tonight a single point back of the Cowichan Valley Capitals for the final Playoff spot on the Island Division, with the Caps in action on home ice tonight against the Merritt Centennials.
The Kings were in action last night at home where they lost their fifth in a row, 4-1 to the Centennials. The Kings loss coupled with a Victoria Grizzlies win in West Kelowna means the Kings now have some company at the top of the Island Division standings, as the teams are tied with 70 points with the Grizzlies having two games in hand.
Once again note the unique game time of 6:30. That means the pregame show on Pacific Chevrolet Bulldogs Hockey on 93.3 The Peak FM gets underway at 6:15. Myself and Bruce MacDonald will bring the play-by-play and analysis for your listening enjoyment.

Tonight's 2nd Intermission guest is former Bulldog Harry Zolnierczyk, now with the Pittsburgh Penguins organization. Harry scored for the Penguins earlier this month, set up by some guy you might have heard of named Sidney Crosby. It seems like just yesterday that Harry scored his first career BCHL goal, for the Bulldogs in where else but Powell River.
Major nostalgia warning!
UPDATE - Six degrees of separation...in net for Powell River for Harry's first BCHL goal...Bulldog Goalie Coach Alex Evin!
The Bulldogs return home tomorrow to host the Merritt Centennials - note the start time of 3:00pm!
Also note the special events tomorrow's "Fan Appreciation Day" as Game Sponsor Alberni Valley News will give the first 200 fans a set of Player cards. Quality Foods will be hosting a BBQ after the game, with the Bulldog Players available post-game as well for autographs. Fans are also encouraged to wear Red and White to support the Canadian Olympic team. Sorry Merritt, those colours aren't for you!
