It's the third meeting of the season between the two clubs, with the Bulldogs losing the two previous meetings in overtime. The Bulldogs haven't trailed the Grizzlies in a game yet this season, yet they still lost them both. While both games were on the "road" only one of them counts as a road game as the meeting at the BCHL Showcase counted as a Bulldog home game.
The Bulldogs need to do much better against the Fitzgerald triplets tonight as they have been the difference, combining for 9 points in 2 games. They also will need to play a full 60 minutes - or maybe more, as the Grizzlies have tied both of the previous games in the third period. I expect Jay Deo to get his first start against the Grizzlies this season tonight.
Catch all the action on Boston Pizza Bulldogs Hockey on 93.3 The Peak FM with the pregame show at 7:00 and the puck drop at 7:15 from the Bear Mountain Arena.
Vernon Vipers Play-by-Play Voice Todd Miller is my 2nd intermission guest. Don't forget the Dogs host the Vipers tomorrow night on Don Cherry look-a-like night!
Port Alberni's Angel Magnussen will be honoured before the CFL's West Final in Vancouver on Sunday...read more! Go Angel!
Hello everyone!
We want to thank those of you who have been voting daily for Angel in the Scotiabank Game Changers program. Angel will be honored at this weekends BC Lions game where she will be celebrated as the BC Lions Scotiabank National Game Changer Finalist. Angel is very excited knowing that she will be on the field with the BC Lions and her friend Kevin Innes from the Scotiabank at the start of the game. What she does not know is that they have a special award which they will present to her live during the game. We know she will be beaming proudly when she receives it.
If you are at the game please watch for her proud smile on the jumbotron!! Some of us will be bringing Go Team Angel and Vote Angel signs to cheer her on.
Voting for the Ultimate CFL Scotiabank National Game Changer ends at midnight on November 20th. Thus far Angel is maintaining the lead amongst the 8 National Finalists. Voting counts for 50% of the judges decision when awarding the grand prize. The Ultimate CFL Scotiabank National Game Changer will win $100,000 for the charity of their choice and the award will be presented live and aired on TSN during the half time show at the 100th Grey Cup so please be sure to be watching. Angel is hoping very much to win the $100k for Variety the children's charity as she wants to see more kids get well and go home from the hospital and for more kids get the walkers, wheelchairs and specialized equipment they need.

Please share this voting link with your family, friends and co-workers and help Angel in her bid to win the $$ to help kids in need across BC. You can vote once per day per email address. We fly to Toronto on Nov 23rd to enjoy the 100th Grey Cup festivities prior to the game and to hopefully cheer the BC Lions on to another Grey Cup win!! Angel has been busy practicing her fave Carly Rae Jepson's songs and can't wait to see Carly and Justin Bieber perform on the field at half time. We are so excited for Angel and for the fun she has ahead, and so very proud of her for all of the work she does to help sick and hurting children throughout the world. Angel says she will be very sad if she does not win the $100K to help the kids but we do know this for certain, whether she wins or loses this contest she will continue to dedicate her life to helping kids by fundraising for them every chance she gets.
If you are out and about in the community this week you will be able to find Angel fundraising at Quality Foods where she will be bagging groceries for donations to Variety, this afternoon between 330 and 530 pm and on Monday between 930 and 1130 am. Next Wednesday she'll be assisting her social justice class with a bake sale to help rebuild a school in a third world country and then it's time to pack her suit case and head for the airport.
Go Angel!!!!
Go Angel!!!!
Sincerely,
Cheryl, Arnie and Angel Magnussen
