It's as big as they get tonight at the Frank Crane Arena as the Bulldogs try to advance to the Coastal Conference Final for the first time in Franchise History, while the Nanaimo Clippers try to force a Game 7 Wednesday at the Dog Pound.
For a little scene set, here's a story from the local paper about last night's and tonight's games CLICK HERE TO READ IT
Head Coach Nolan Graham says pretty much everything that needs to be said, regarding how tough the Clippers will surely play tonight with their backs against the wall. If the guys thought it was tough before, they probably haven't seen anything yet. As they say, the last one is the toughest. And "they" speak the truth 99% of the time when it comes to elimination games. Also have to agree with Coach, as good as the Dogs were offensively - which was really great to see - but they need to be better defensively for sure.
How crazy was it last night in the Pound? Just plain W O W. I got a text from a fan after the game that said "first time since 2005-2006 that my ears are ringing after the game, Go Dogs"
Go Dogs indeed! Hopefully it's another WOW atmosphere on the road tonight like it was on Saturday night when a large crowd of Bulldog faithful made their way down to Nanaimo.
No matter what, it should be quite the contest tonight at the Frank Crane. The Clippers have impressed me throughout with how hard they have battled and how resilient they have been, so tonight I expect no different. At the same time, the Dogs have to raise their level of intensity if they want to end this series in 6 games.
