It's January 10th-Trade Deadline, Bruce fired up over Bobby Clarke on Downie vs Blake

It won't be a fun day today for most of the players in the BCHL, WHL, CHL, CJAHL, etc. Some will love the day as their dreams will come true and they will get out of a situation they want out of, or they will find themselves in a situation they want to be in. Some will be crushed as they will go from contender to pretender, away from friends and teammates and families and billets and so on and so forth.

I'll just be glad when this day is done. I'm not big on the rumour mill and naming names because of what it does to the kids and all the worrying they go through. Even though I guess they'll go through the worry whether they hear their name or not.

The Bulldogs are on the record saying that they don't anticipate any movement before the 6pm deadline tonight. As they don't have any player cards left, they wouldn't be able to take any players in return this season anyway.

We'll wait and see until 6pm. If there's any blockbusters that go down, I'll do my best to get a quote or two on the blog here today from the coaches and teams involved, or the league.

I believe in the end that my lack of spreading rumours and throwing player names and teams names out there on here and on my broadcasts helps me when it comes to a day like today when I can phone a coach/gm and just simply ask them what they did and why. We shall see.

This all comes up because of a great email I received from my buddy Bruce Sly in Nanaimo, in response to Bobby Clarke's comments on Steve Downie vs Jason Blake. It just shows why Bruce is a beauty too.

BUT he is a elephant and Blake put his skates on and there are no friends on the ice.

Bobby Clarke just totally explained where he is from and how he played and GM'ed he is in it to win whatever WHATEVER it takes. Nice smile Bobby. You made Flin Flon proud again today.....

That's my take I wanted to weigh in now post something and if you do not know what I am talking about youtube Michael Lansbergs show today he had Mr. Clarke on....

Heeeeere's Bobby- I gotta say- I don't like the fact Downie suckered him with his arms tied up...But Bobby makes a couple of good points...Hmmm, maybe it's the FLIN FLON in me!
