The Dogs played a pretty good first 40 minutes last night, down 4-3 after two.
Then the third period started and things turned ugly in a hurry. 27 seconds in it was 5-3 and things got worse from there. Three minutes later it was 6-3. Then 7-3 and 8-3 in a matter of minutes. The team didn't come out ready to battle in the third, or so it looked in my opinion, and the scoreboard was the evidence. I'm sure it's a combo of both- The Warriors were on fire, the Dogs were out of it.
If hockey games were 40 minutes the Dogs might feel a bit better about themselves today. Of course games are 60 minutes though.
The Dogs are practicing this morning, and have today off after that. Tomorrow they travel to Salmon Arm for a meeting with the Silverbacks as Mark Morikawa returns to his old team and Evan Michalchuk hosts his old club. Should be fun.

Rough start for the boys, here's hoping they can rebound and make a game of it in Salmon Arm...
I like how they have a few seats behind the nets at Royal LePage Place. Thanks for being such a shutterbug Hammer!
