Dogs host Clippers, drive safe everyone!

A tough one for the Dogs last night as they dropped a 7-1 decision to the Clippers in Nanaimo. The highlight of the night might have been the 5 to 10 Clipper fans that approached me to say that they enjoyed the blog, especially the Cornell stuff.

Newly acquired Mark Morikawa was fun to watch. He is very small, Brandon Wong-esque. Two sides to that- You WILL take a physical pounding, you will NEED to keep your head up. You will also make people MISS. And that's one of the things the Dogs have needed. a dynamic offensive guy that can create. He looks like he fits the bill. I hope Eliot Raibl and Evan Witt make it to town for tonight's game to make their Bulldog debuts.
Don't forget to bring a bear or buy a bear for the Teddy Bear Toss tonight, and don't forget it's 3rd Jersey unveiling night!
Here is last years Teddy Bear Toss- the first ever in Alberni

Third Jerseys

Environment Canada is predicting the Island to get dumped on

They have even issued a WEATHER WARNING

So check the HUMP CAM (yes, I know they need a light up there, I have told them as much) if you are coming from Nanaimo, and check drivebc.ca for updated road conditions.

A light for the Alberni Summit camera would only be useful if the camera were running 24/7, as it is battery/solar powered, it gets shut off at night.

I'm aware that the camera gets shut off at night va7nic.

Would you not agree that a light would be useful for all the hours that the camera IS ON when it's still too dark to see anything? Like 6am to 8am when the bulk of people would be commuting out of town? The camera is on, all you can see is tail lights, as it's too dark to see what the road is like, no daylight yet.
