It's the first meeting between these teams in Powell River since the first two nights of the season, as the Bulldogs (24-23-1-2, 4th Island) visit the Kings (26-22-4-0, 3rd Island) tonight to open a two game set.
The Bulldogs last played Tuesday night at home, where they lost a season-high fifth straight, giving up a season high nine goals in the process, falling 9-4 to the Coquitlam Express.
The Kings were in Duncan on Wednesday night, where they lost their third straight, 3-0 to the Capitals.
These teams last met head-to-head on Sunday, January 5th (another make up game) that saw the Kings earn a 6-5 win. Tonight's contest is the seventh in the season series, This is the sixth game head to head this season, with The Kings leading the season series 4-2. The Bulldogs won 3-1 over the Kings on January 4th. Prior to that, was a 4-1 Kings win at the Multiplex on December 8th. November 2nd in Port Alberni saw the Bulldogs emerge victorious by a 4-0 score. The Kings took the first two meetings by scores of 6-3 and 6-5 in Powell River on the first two nights of the season way back on September 6th and 7th.
