After back to back road trips, and five straight games over the last two weeks away from home, the Bulldogs (4-8-0-0, 4th Island) return to Multiplex ice tonight to host the Cowichan Valley Capitals (9-3-0-0, 1st Island) for the first time this season.
The Bulldogs last played Thursday afternoon/evening at the Showcase in Chilliwack, where they snapped a four-game losing streak with a 4-1 win over the Merritt Centennials.
The Capitals were also playing at the same time in Chilliwack, where they topped the Surrey Eagles by a 4-2 score.
It'll be fun to get back within the friendly confines of the Multiplex, and to have some company in the booth as well. Bruce MacDonald takes care of game analysis and adds colour commentary, while I provide the play-by-play. The pregame show begins the broadcast at 6:45, with the puck dropping shortly after 7:00pm on 93.3 The Peak FM's Bulldogs Hockey, brought to you by Pacific Chevrolet.
Tonight's 2nd Intermission feature is this week's edition of The Island Division This Week, courtesy of Dan Marshall at 106.9 The Wolf in Nanaimo, and the Island Division broadcasters for their submissions.
