Bulldogs visit Capitals tonight in huge Island Division tilt

It's a huge four point game, as the "Battle of the Valleys" sees the Bulldogs (15-27-3-0, 4th Island) head to the Cowichan Valley to visit the Capitals (13-28-4-1, 5th Island) tonight at the Island Savings Centre, with just two points separating the teams in the Island Division standings.

The Bulldogs last played Sunday afternoon where they lost a hard fought 2-1 decision to the Powell River Kings. The Capitals last played Sunday afternoon at home, where they won their second straight, 7-2 over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.

These teams last met December 30th at the Dog Pound, a 5-4 Bulldog win. The last meeting in Duncan was a 4-1 Bulldog win on December 8th.  The only previous meeting at the Island Savings Centre was a season-opening 3-2 shoot out win for the Bulldogs on September 7th.

Pacific Chevrolet Bulldogs Hockey goes live on 93.3 The Peak FM at 6:45 for the pregame show, with all the game action to follow after 7:00. I'll call the play-by-play, Dan Tisserand compiles team and individual statistics while Bruce MacDonald provides game analysis and colour commentary.

Tonight's 2nd Intermission guest is Craig Beauchemin, the play-by-play voice of the Penticton Vees, who the Bulldogs host on Saturday night.
