It's the only game on the schedule this weekend for the Bulldogs (10-20-1-0, T-4th Island) as they visit the Cowichan Valley Capitals (8-19-4-1, T-4th Island) for the first time since the opening night of the season.
The Bulldogs were last in action Sunday afternoon at home, where they dropped a 5-3 heartbreaker to the Coquitlam Express.
This is the Capitals third game already this week - they were in Victoria last night, where they dropped their second straight decision 5-3 to the Grizzlies. The Capitals led 3-1 after 40 minutes, only to have Victoria score twice on the power play in the first seven minutes of the third to tie it, before netting the winner with under five minutes to play. They also played Tuesday night at home, where they fell 4-0 to the Powell River Kings
Tonight will be the fourth head-to-head meeting between the teams. The Capitals have won two of three, and the last two - most recently by a 4-1 score at the Multiplex on November 13th. The previous meeting was a 4-0 Capitals road win on September 15th. The Bulldogs won the first meeting 3-2 in a shoot out on September 7th

I'll handle the hosting and provide the play-by-play, while Bruce MacDonald will be on hand to give game analysis and add colour commentary.
