It's the second game of a four game home stand for the Bulldogs (8-14-1-0, 4th Island) as they host the Cowichan Valley Capitals (5-15-2-1, 5th Island) tonight at the Dog Pound.
The Bulldogs were last in action Saturday night at home, where they snapped a five game losing streak with a 4-0 win over the Powell River Kings. The Capitals also last played Saturday night at home, where they lost their second in a row, 5-0 to the Victoria Grizzlies.
This is the third head-to-head meeting this season, with each team winning once. The Bulldogs won the season opener in a shoot out, 3-2 in Duncan on September 7th. The Capitals came out on top in the most recent meeting, which wasn't necessarily "recent" by a 4-0 score at the Multiplex on September 15th.
Van Isle Ford Bulldogs Hockey on 93.3 The Peak FM is live starting at 6:45 for our pregame show, with the game action to follow at 7:00pm. I'll call the play-by-play, and Bruce MacDonald adds analysis and colour commentary while Dan Tisserand tabulates team and player statistics.
Tonight's 2nd Intermission guest is former Bulldog (2014-2015) Billy Christopoulos (the Bulldogs Most Valuable Player in 14/15) who's now playing his Senior NCAA season at Air Force
Billy picked up some accolades recently, as he was named the Atlantic Hockey Conference Goalie of the Week last week.
