Dogs travel to Duncan tonight to face Capitals

It's back on the bus for the Bulldogs (1-8-2-1, 5th Island) today as they head down Island to visit the Capitals (5-6-0-1, 2nd Island) in Duncan at the Big Stick for their fourth straight game (and fifth of six) away from home. The schedule evens out, as after tonight the Dogs play six straight games on Home Ice. Both the Dogs and Capitals have lost two in a row, however the Dogs have earned points in four out of their last five games after starting the season pointless in their first seven.

It has been nice to watch the team battle so hard to turn it around and get better every day. By no means am I saying to plan the parade yet or anything, but after some pretty low times over the first seven games the team has certainly made strides and has competed very hard. No quit in these guys.  They have found out how to compete, now the next step is finding out how to win. There is a very very VERY fine line between a couple of ties (we won't talk about the game winning goal in Victoria in OT that wasn't) or OT losses that could have turned into wins over the last five games for this team.

They certainly owe the Caps some payback after they took a Friday-Wednesday home and home set in September by a combined score of 10 to 1.

I will bring all the action to you on Pacific Chevrolet Bulldogs Hockey on 93.3 The Peak FM with the pregame show getting underway at 6:45 with the puck drop and play-by-play to follow at 7:00.
