What an odd game at the Langley Event Centre. The Dogs outshoot the Rivermen 42-24, yet lose 7-1. In the end the Dogs played well, but they couldn't beat James Barr who was fantastic in the Langley net. Credit to the line of Strang-Powell-House for refusing to be denied in the third period, scoring a greasy goal to get on the board. They came back out after the Radio Timeout and almost scored on their next shift - that would have made a game out of it...unfortunately they couldn't get another ugly one and the Rivermen scored a minute later and it was game over.

I don't want to dump on the team but what is going on? After a good start, something has obviously changed and now they are mired in a slump. Is a substantive change needed, outside the dressing room? Or is this group of players just not experienced enough? This is the 10th anniversary season and I am one of many fans who are expecting a competitive team that makes the playoffs. A tall order, considering only 4 teams from the coast will make it. Yes, there is worry in Dogville, unfortunately.
