Bulldog Alumni Harry Zolnierczyk Signs with the Philadephia Flyers!

Congrats to Harry - details below from Tom McEvay...

Harry has given me the go ahead to let people know ….

Just a quick note to a few people I know Harry would want to know. I just got off the phone with Harry and this afternoon he signed an NHL/AHL contract with the Philadelphia Flyers. He will leave Brown this week and play in Adirondack for the rest of their AHL season and then be brought up to practice and travel with the Flyers for the playoffs. He had worked his schooling so that if this happened he could leave and it will not affect his degree and graduation as he has finished all the required courses. He will train in Philly all summer before camp in the fall.

Harry signed a one year deal for the NHL rookie max and the AHL rookie max, plus the max rookie signing bonus. It was a feeding frenzy today with no fewer than 15 NHL teams interested. He had 10-12 offers from other NHL teams but chose Philly because they have given him the best indications that they expect him to play for them next fall. Clearly Harry is thrilled and very excited to be embarking on this new challenge in his young life. He is so appreciative of all the people who have helped him along the way and supported him through the ups and downs of life.

I told him that anyone who knows him is going to be very proud and excited.

Cheers,

Tom
