Bulldogs Acquire Darragh

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs have acquired the playing rights of 90 F Liam Darragh from the Prince George Spruce Kings in exchange for the playing rights of 91 F Trent Murdoch and 91 D Byron Sorensen.\

Darragh, originally from Quesnel spent last season with the Spruce Grove Saints of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) where he posted 11 goals, 14 assists and 114 penalty minutes in 57 games. Prior to that, the 6’4” 210 pound winger has played 3 seasons with the Chilliwack Bruins of the Western Hockey League (WHL) and 1 season with the Swift Current Broncos.

“Liam will add size, skill and toughness to our lineup,” comments GM/Head Coach Paul Esdale. “Liam adds experience in playing in the WHL for a number of years and winning the league title in Alberta last year “adds Esdale.

Liam will not be in the line up tonight as he's in the Interior. He will make his way to Port Alberni and join the team for the road trip that starts Wednesday night in Trail.
