GAME DAY - Dogs host Kings

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs look to stretch their win streak to five tonight with a win over the only team that has beaten them so far this season, the Powell River Kings.

And did they ever beat them though. With the wins the Dogs have piled up since, it seems like it was a year ago already, but it was just 5 games ago that the season opened with a 9-1 Kings win over the Dogs in Powell River. Of course, now the Dogs want payback. Don't think the Kings aren't coming in well aware of that either.

Should be a good one.

Catch our pregame show at 6:45 tonight, with the puck drop and the play-by-play following at 7pm.

Get it all on 93.3 The Peak FM, or listen live on our website at

Some other Dogs news items... this one is cool.

Ron Gray at Sutton Group-West Coast Realty hand made a willow chair and is donating it for a free draw on the Saturday night game against Nanaimo. Ron believes that the players are working hard for Port Alberni, and he wants to fill the arena, so the players can feel the support and keep them on their winning ways.

And this happens on Sunday:

Everyone welcome Free Skate Sunday Oct. 4th 3:00 - 4:45 we will also have sign up for the Kids Club, Hotdog BBQ proceeds going to Breast Cancer courtesy of Safeway, Autograph sessions.

And that's all I know for now, more from THE POUND later!

I really like all the pictures, do you ever take any besides the goals being scored? Nice job Hammer, good luck to the Dogs tonight.

Mutt - I didn't disregard your previous comment about the Luke Fenske interview - You can listen to it HERE -

And to Anonymous - thanks for the nice comments about the pictures. Pretty much anything that has been sent to me is here on the blog. I actually don't take many, or ANY during the game as I'm too busy with the broadcast. However - you can find tons of pictures on the Dogs Media site -
