Dogs 5, Clippers 4, in 2 OT.
What a game. The Dogs had plenty of times in the game they could have rolled over and played dead - 2 Clipper goals in 15 seconds to erase a 1-0 lead. Two quick Clipper goals in the second to erase a 2-2 tie and go up 4-2. They kept on digging though. A Brian Kang breakaway goal made it 4-3 after two, before a Johnny Rogic breakaway tied things up.
The Clippers had the best chance to win it in double OT as Russell Goodman was awarded a penalty shot as he was taken down on the way to the net, but Colin Rundell came up with the save.
The Dogs then had their best chance to win it when the Clippers were called for interference in the Dogs zone off a face off. First I've ever seen that call in double OT with the penalty shot being the result. Not knocking the penalty, but most officials just plain wouldn't have the guts to call that one. Kevin Ross would score a beauty goal going backhand forehand on Jonathan Jobin for the 5-4 double OT win. What a beauty!
