Roberto Luongo out for the season, great news on two former Bulldogs- Doug Krantz and Devin Timberlake

First off- the bad news. Shocking reports out of Vancouver this morning state that Canucks goalie Roberto Luongo is out for the season with a herniated disk in his back. The injury apparently occurred as Luongo bent over to pick up his newborn child.

Yikes! The Nucks are in trouble now, if they weren't ALREADY!

The Canucks host the Colorado Avalanche tonight. Of course you can hear the broadcast on THE PEAK, part of the Canucks Radio Network. Pregame is at 6:30 and the puck drop and all the play-by-play is shortly after 7:00 with Tom and Shortie.

Great news on a couple of fronts regarding some former Bulldogs.
First- Doug Krantz, shown below earlier this season suiting up with the Cornell Big Red at Madison Square Garden.

The good news on Doug is that he has moved on to the professional hockey ranks.

Devin Timberlake suiting up for BROWN last season. He had to wait until this past season to get the familiar #18 back.

The second bit of good news today regards former Bulldog Captain Devin Timberlake. My sources indicate that Devin has been named Captain for Brown next season. It's nothing official right now, just rumours at this point, but I trust my sources.

Anyone who saw Devin play as a Bulldog, and saw how he played as the Captain here, can attest to how good of a leader he is.
