Bulldogs Jersey Auction is BACK, and BRING BACK THE FASHION SHOW!, MUST WIN for the Nucks tonight.

The Bulldogs Jersey Auction is back! Starting tomorrow you can visit the Bulldogs website www.albernivalleybulldogs.ca to bid on the white sweaters and 3rd jerseys from the 2007-2008 season.

I received an email not too long ago from a fan saying that they missed the Bulldogs Fashion Show, and they would like to see it come back. I agree! It was a lot of fun for the fans and the players, and it was certainly something different and a unique way for the fans to see the players. From all accounts, it was a big success with good attendance and solid sponsorship from the local clothiers. I know that the funds raised went into the Bulldogs Booster Club's coffers to players Education fund.

I will do my best to put the word in to the Bulldogs office and Bulldogs Booster Club to resurrect the Fashion Show for 08-09.

Some people I'm sure don't even know or remember the fact that the Dogs had a fashion show before. It was a one-time only deal as far as I know, happening in the 2004-2005 season.

Here's a great picture of yours truly, and my one-time morning show partner in crime and now AFTERNOON DRIVE host on 93.3 THE PEAK FM- Jolie McMullan, as we were Mc'ing the fashion show. What a sharp pair we are!
One might suggest that Hockey players and Fashion Shows don't mix, especially anyone who is familiar with SLAP SHOT. I can assure you that none of those antics would go on at the Dogs show, HAHA!

It really is a MUST WIN for the Canucks tonight, sitting 9th in the Western Conference and on the outside of the playoff picture looking in. We've got it all for you tonight on THE PEAK, part of the Canucks Radio Network. Catch the pregame show at 6:30, and the puck drop and all the play-by-play with Tom and Shortie shortly after 7:00. The Oilers- now with nothing to lose- will be a formidable opponent.

Thanks as always for reading!
