Pod action continues tonight as Bulldogs face Capitals

After 130 plus days without hockey, it's right back at it tonight as the Bulldogs (0-0-0-1)  "host" the Cowichan Valley Capitals (0-0-0-0) in BCHL Island Division Pod action at the Multiplex.

The Bulldogs opened their pod season last night, ending up on the wrong end of a wildly entertaining 6-5 shootout decision to the Victoria Grizzlies.

The Capitals make their pod debut tonight, after last seeing action on October 24th, dropping an 8-5 decision to the Grizzlies at the Q Centre.

If it wasn't unfortunate enough that the Capitals had their season prematurely end last March as they prepared for the second round of the playoffs, insult was added to injury this fall as their final two extended preseason games were also cancelled due their opponents - the Powell River Kings, being under the umbrella of a different Health Authority, with travel restricted.

I'll go live from the Multiplex on 93.3 The Peak's Bulldogs Hockey, brought to you by Van Isle Ford at 6:45 for the pregame show, followed by the play-by-play at 7:00pm.

Tonight's 1st Intermission guest is Bulldog Defenceman Ryan Nause, while BCHL Officiating Director Brad Lazarowich joins us at 40 minutes.
