It's the regular season finale for both teams today, as the Bulldogs (26-27-2-2, 4th Island) host the Nanaimo Clippers (36-17-2-2, 2nd Island) in a potential first round playoff matchup at the Multiplex on Fan Appreciation Day.
The Bulldogs were in Duncan last night, where they snapped a four game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the Capitals. The Clippers last played Friday night at home, where they won their fourth straight 2-1 over the Cowichan Valley Capitals.
These teams last met Wednesday night at the Dog Pound, an 8-4 Clipper win.
The stakes couldn't be more different for both sides of the puck today. The Bulldogs are playing to head into the playoffs feeling good about their game, and that's that. The Clippers on the other side are playing with an Island Division title on the line as they enter play today a single point behind the Clippers. They had the first tiebreaker on the Capitals as well, with one more victory.
If you can't make the game, we'll bring it to you. Catch all the action live from the Dog Pound on Pacific Chevrolet Bulldogs Hockey on 93.3 The Peak FM, starting with our pregame show at 1:45, with the game action to follow after 2:00

Today's 2nd Intermission guest is former Bulldog Billy Christopoulos , who is now playing professionally with the ECHL's Toledo Walleye after a four-year career playing NCAA hockey with Air Force.
Here's a nice read on his year from the Toledo Blade
