Bulldogs wrap up weekend roadie this afternoon in Coquitlam

It's the final game of this three-in-three road trip today for the Bulldogs (3-6-0-0) as they visit the Coquitlam Express (6-1-0-0, 1st Mainland) at the Poirier Sports and Leisure Centre.

The Bulldogs were in Chilliwack last night, where they dropped their second in a row, 5-2 to the Chiefs.

The Express began their week at home on Wednesday night, where they topped the Merritt Centennials 6-3. They had Friday night off, and last night they hosted the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, where they won their fourth in a row, 3-2 in overtime.

Poirier Sports and Leisure Centre has a smaller than regulation ice surface as you might be able to tell from the above picture. That can be both bad or good when it comes to playing on it at the end of a road trip. Things happen fast, but you don't have as far to go both offensively and defensively. There isn't a bad place in the building to put the puck on net.

Van Isle Ford Bulldogs Hockey will be on 93.3 The Peak FM takes to the airwaves at 2:45 for the pregame show, with play-by-play to follow at 3:00pm.

Today's 2nd Intermission feature is this week's edition of  Island Division This Week courtesy of Dan Marshall at 106.9 the Wolf in Nanaimo. It's a compilation of previews, recaps and highlights from the Island Division play-by-play voices.
