Bulldogs visit Clippers tonight to open home and home

It's the first meeting of the season between these two rivals, with the Bulldogs (0-2-0-0) making their way over the hump to the Frank Crane Arena in Nanaimo to face the Clippers (0-1-0-0) tonight at 7:00.

Tonight's contest is the first of two head-to-head matches in as many days, as the Clippers will return the favour tomorrow to be the guests as the Bulldogs host their home opener at the Dog Pound.

The Bulldogs were last in action Saturday night in Powell River, where they lost their second straight to start the season in heartbreaking fashion to the Kings.

The Clippers have only played a single game so far, dropping a 1-0 decision at home a week ago tonight 2-0 to the Cowichan Valley Capitals.

Van Isle Ford Bulldogs Hockey on 93.3 The Peak FM is on the air tonight for the pregame show at 6:45, with the puck drop and play-by-play to follow at 7:00. I'll handle the play-by-play and hosting, while Dan Tisserand will be on hand to compile and tabulate team and player statistics throughout the game.

Catch the final Regular Season edition of the Island Division This Week in the 2nd Intermission, courtesy of Dan Marshall at 106.9 the Wolf in Nanaimo. It's a compilation of previews, recaps and highlights from the Island Division play-by-play voices.
