Holy cow, Training Camp opens TODAY. I'm not ready! I'm working on it though... see the full schedule below courtesy of the Bulldogs. 

The Bulldogs also announced another addition to their roster after I made my post here on the blog Friday - welcome Jimmy Rayhill....read complete details below.

BATTLE FOR ROSTER SPOTS READY TO HEAT UP WITH 43 PLAYERS HITTING THE ICE

New Alberni Valley head coach Joe Martin will get his first look at a  
revamped Bulldogs roster on Monday when the team opens its 2019 Main  
Camp at Alberni Valley Multiplex.

This year's camp will see 43 returning, committed and prospective  
Bulldogs players face off over three days of practices and scrimmages,  
including a pair of Red vs. White  intrasquad games at 7:00 PM on  
Tuesday and Wednesday. Martin and his staff will trim the team's  
roster over the course of the week, which includes a trio of home  
exhibition contests against the Powell River Kings and Cowichan Valley  
Capitals (details below).

"We're very excited to have our group together and start building our  
identity as a team," says Martin. "We've got a great mix of returning  
players and some talented recruits, as well as a handful of good young  
players who will be looking to make a strong impression. It's going to  
be a very competitive and intense camp."

Bulldogs fans are invited to attend all on-ice camp sessions at no  
charge, while exhibition game tickets will be available at the door  
(Adults: $5; Children: $2).

***CORNELL-BOUND DEFENCEMAN ADDS SKILL & INTELLIGENCE TO ALBERNI VALLEY ROSTER

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are pleased to announce a commitment from  
2001-born defenceman Jimmy Rayhill to join the team for the 2019/20  
British Columbia Hockey League season.

Rayhill will suit up in the BCHL after spending the last three years  
with The Gunnery Prep School in Connecticut. He served as the team's  
captain during the 2018/19 campaign while scoring 8 goals and totaling  
28 points in 31 games.


Rayhill is committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at Cornell University.


Rayhill will join his new teammates when the Bulldogs' 2019 Main Camp  
opens at the Alberni Valley Multiplex on Monday, August 19.
