It's the first game of 2019 for both sides tonight, as the Bulldogs (13-23-1-0, 4th Island) head down Island to visit the Grizzlies (22-12-0-2, 1st Island) at the Q Centre.
The Bulldogs were last in action Monday afternoon at home, where they fell 6-2 to the Nanaimo Clippers. The Grizzlies haven't played since last Saturday at home, where they dropped their third
straight, 4-2 to the Clippers.
These teams last met Saturday, December 15th, a 2-1 Bulldog win on home ice. The last meeting between the teams in Victoria - I had to double check that this was right - was the only meeting in Victoria this season, a 5-3 Bulldog win.
Catch all the action on Pacific Chevrolet Bulldogs Hockey on 93.3 The Peak, starting with the pregame show at 6:45, followed by the game action at 7:00pm. Bruce MacDonald will join me to provide colour commentary and analysis while I call the play-by-play.
Tonight's 2nd Intermission guest is Arch Ecker, the voice of the defending Fred Page Cup Champion Wenatchee Wild, who the Bulldogs host on Saturday night.
