It's the final game of 2018, as the Bulldogs (13-22-1-0, 4th Island) host the Nanaimo Clippers (17-18-0-0, 3rd Island) at the Multiplex to ring in 2019.
The Bulldogs were in action last night at home, where they picked up a 5-4 come-from-behind win over the Cowichan Valley Capitals. The Clippers returned from their Christmas break Saturday in Victoria, where they won their fifth in a row 4-2 over the Grizzlies
The last meeting between these teams was heading into the Christmas break, a 4-2 Nanaimo win at the Multiplex on December 16th. Prior to that they met in Nanaimo on December 12th, a 3-1 Clippers win. After the Bulldogs won the first two games of the season series, the Clippers have responded to win the last three.
Bruce MacDonald (colour commentary and analysis) and I (play-by-play and hosting) will have the call for you on 93.3 The Peak FM's Bulldogs Hockey, brought to you by Van Isle Ford starting at 1:45 for the pregame show in advance of the puck drop following 2:00pm.
Today's 2nd Intermission guest is former Bulldog Trainer Matt Auerbach, now with the Victoria Royals.
