Bulldogs meet Clippers tonight in Nanaimo

A week to the day since they last saw each other, these two teams do it again tonight as the Bulldogs (3-4-0-1) make the quick trip over the hump to visit the Clippers (4-3-0-1) at the Frank Crane Arena.

It's the third meeting between the teams this season, with the first two being split. The Clippers won meeting one on Night one of the season, 5-3 on September 8th. The Bulldogs responded with a 5-4 win last Friday at home.

The Bulldogs were last in action Sunday afternoon at home, as they wrapped up a three in three weekend with a 4-3 overtime win over the Langley Rivermen. The Clippers last played Saturday night at home, where they lost their second in a row, 4-3 to the Vernon Vipers. The Clippers will no doubt have a bee in their bonnet with the way this contest played out, as they were penalized seven straight times to open the game. After taking leads of 2-1 and 3-2, the Vipers tied it both times on the man advantage before then scoring the winner on the power play for the final dagger with less than a minute to play.

If you can't get yourself to the Frank Crane Arena, rest assured that we'll do our best to make you feel like you're there on 93.3 The Peak's Bulldogs Hockey brought to you by Pacific Chevrolet.

The proceedings get going with the pregame show at 6:45 with the play-by-play to follow the 7:00pm puck drop with myself and Bruce MacDonald providing the play-by-play and analysis while Dan Tisserand compiles team and player statistics.

Tonight's 2nd Intermission guest is Wylie Henderson, the play-by-play broadcaster for the Trail Smoke Eaters, who visit the Multiplex tomorrow night.
