Bulldogs visit Vipers tonight in Vernon *6pm puck drop*
It's the second and final regular season meeting between the Bulldogs (16-29-7-2, 5th Island) and the Vipers (28-18-5-4, 2nd Interior) tonight at Kal Tire Place in Vernon for a 6pm puck drop.
The Bulldogs were in Salmon Arm last night, where they were eliminated from Playoff contention with their sixth straight loss, 4-0 to the Silverbacks. The Vipers meanwhile were in action last night at home, falling 4-2 to the Victoria Grizzlies.
The last meeting between the teams feels like it was a season ago already, a 3-2 Bulldog win in double overtime on October 1st
It will be interesting to see how the Bulldogs react as a group tonight, now being Officially out of playoff contention. While it's not the situation any player hopes to be in, it's my hope that with the pressure lifted that they can come out loose and find a way to have some fun, because that's been certainly lacking for a while now. It's also my hope that they can find a way to not pack it in, and play for the future, for each other, and for the logo on their chest and their fans and community that supports them so ardently through thick and thin.
