Bulldogs host Silverbacks tonight as home stand continues

It's the third and final regular season meeting between the teams as the Silverbacks (27-15-4-4, 3rd Interior) visit the Bulldogs (19-26-3-3, 5th Island) tonight at the Dog Pound.

The Dogs were last in action Thursday night at home where they lost their second in a row, 6-3 to the Clippers. The Silverbacks have had a busy week so far, as they were in Trail on Tuesday night where they beat the Smoke Eaters 9-3. They kicked off a three-in-three Mainland/Island swing last night in Coquitlam where they topped the Express 6-2 for their third straight win. They finish their trek tomorrow afternoon when they visit the Kings in Powell River.

This is the third head-to-head meeting, which is one more than the usual two that teams see each other when they are in opposing conferences like the Dogs and Silverbacks are. The extra meeting is because these teams saw each other at the BCHL Showcase in September - that one was a 3-0 Salmon Arm win on September 25th. The most recent meeting was a forgettable one, but also one that's perhaps impossible to not remember - a 10-1 'Backs win in Salmon Arm on November 20th

Catch all the action on 93.3 The Peak FM's Bulldogs Hockey brought to you by Pacific Chevrolet. I'll provide the play-by-play and Bruce MacDonald will bring the colour and analysis. We take to the air with the pregame show at 6:45, and the puck drop follows at 7:00.
