There's Lacrosse action in town this weekend as the Alberni Valley Minor Lacrosse Association hosts their inagural Novice Icebreaker tournament Saturday and Sunday at the Multiplex with action going in both rinks throughout Saturday and Sunday with the Gold/Bronze games going Sunday at 3pm. Fans are encouraged to come out and cheer the kids on and try their hand on a bunch of raffle baskets and Silent Auction items!
There's also some ball action in town, with the
AVMSA seeing seven teams from around the Island in town for their Midget Magic Girls tournament. Action goes throughout the day today and tomorrow at the Echo Fields. More details on the tournament

RBC Cup kicks off today in Vernon with the host Vipers being the only BCHL representation...best of luck to the Vipes in doing the BCHL proud. If the fact that they are representing the BCHL isn't enough of a reason to cheer for them, don't forget that they have a couple of former Bulldogs on their roster in Ryan Renz and Jared Wilson.
