Dogs visit Smokies tonight to open three game roadie, Unity Celebrity Game tonight

The Bulldogs (1-7-1-0, 5th Island) try to keep their turn around going as they kick off a three-in-three road trip when they visit the Trail Smoke Eaters (4-4-0-1, 4th Interior) at the Cominco Memorial Arena.

It's a great old barn here, and it reminds me a bit of the Whitney Forum in my hometown of Flin Flon with all the history. More banners in the 'Flon of course. A little video from four years ago (seems like 100!) of the Arena.

Catch all the action on Pacific Chevrolet Bulldogs Hockey on 93.3 The Peak FM with the pregame show kicking off at 7:15 and the puck drop and play-by-play following at 7:30.

Listen to all the live action on your radio, or through your computer with our listen live link at
www.933thepeak.com

You can also WATCH the game through the Fast Hockey Pay-Per-View option.
Isn't technology grand? You can also listen through your Smartphone through the Tunein app - more details HERE

Tonight's 1st Intermission guest is the newest member of the Bulldogs Craig Martin, acquired in the Jared Wilson trade earlier this week.

Tonight's 2nd Intermission guest is former Bulldog and Port Alberni Native Josh Bonar.

After playing parts of four seasons Professionally in North America after two years of CIS Hockey, Bonar has played the last 3 years in Europe. After playing in Hungary for several seasons, he is now with ASC Corona in Brasov, Romania.

Bonar has been getting involved in Coaching more as he playing as an Assistant Coach this season. He also handled the team's Summer off-ice training programs and now is involved in Video Coaching. How big is he over there? Well if you ask me, when they start doing portraits of you, you have become a folk hero!
If you are looking for something to do tonight since the Dogs aren't at home, just head next door to the rink to the Alberni Athletic Hall to check out the Unity Celebrity Game put on by former Harlem Globetrotter and Jericho Road Church Youth Pastor Harold "Lefty" Williams. I had Lefty in on my show on 93.3 The Peak a couple months back and I knew instantly how big this was going to be. Lefty is a beauty of a guy!

I'm sad I'm going to miss this event, as Lefty has a huge contingent of celebs coming to town for this from places far and wide. Plus, I really wanted to see Jolie try her hand at basketball. Follow Lefty on his website HERE , go check out the game tonight and take your radio with you and you can keep up to date on the 'Dogs game at the same time!
