Bulldogs Hockey on THE PEAK - Van Isle Ford/Pacific Chevrolet, Assistant Captains selected

Very happy to announce on behalf of 93.3 The Peak FM that we have a new title sponsor(s) on Bulldogs Broadcasts this coming season. Huge thanks to Van Isle Ford - Home games will come to you courtesy of them - and Pacific Chevrolet - sponsor for Road games.

Also a huge thanks to ALL our sponsors that make the broadcasts happen. Fans that have listened before will know that we strive to put together a professional big-league broadcast, and in my humble and very biased opinion, I think we accomplish that.

If you appreciate and like the broadcasts, please thank the sponsors that make them all happen with your business!

If there is something you don't like, we always welcome your feedback - drop me a line here

We would love to hear from you throughout the season - feedback, comments, complaints, criticism - constructive or otherwise, an interesting stat or fact about your son or brother or family member that may be on the team, where you might be listening to the game from, etc etc.

If you aren't geographically close enough to Port Alberni to listen on a radio you can listen live, FOR FREE, on your computer. Just head over to www.933thepeak.com and click the LISTEN LIVE link.

Also through the wonders of technology, you can also WATCH games on a Pay-Per-View basis through Fast Hockey.

Video Broadcasts and the quality of them have grown in leaps and bounds over the last couple of years...while I'm usually CALLING the games, and I'm not watching them on the computer, I have heard some great things about Fast Hockey - when I have watched myself, I have been very impressed, so be sure to check them out.

A note - you will be able to listen to either the HOME or AWAY broadcast when purchasing a game. There is one asterisk with that however -  if you are watching on an Ipad as opposed to a computer, you have no choice between the audio streams and you will get only the HOME broadcast. At least that's how it was last year, I'm not sure if they have made any improvements to the options of the player on the Ipad!

The Bulldogs selected the remainder of their Leadership group yesterday to compliment Captain Tryg Strand. Getting an "A" on their jerseys - Justin Georgeson, Jared Wilson, Mitch Makin and Hunter Stewart.

Kurt Gosselin will be part of the leadership group as well, but without a letter.

Congrats to the guys selected.

In the end everyone has to be a leader in some way, shape, or form if you hope to achieve success. Everyone has to hold one another accountable. The guys with letters can't be there all the time, the Coaches can't be there all the time. Lead others, lead yourself, leaders can come in many different forms.

I also heard from a Billet that it was pretty neat to have the Billet Meeting hosted for the first time inside the Dogs dressing room. Athletic Therapist James McDonald had the dressing room set up like a game day, to give the Billets and idea on what it's like on game day, where their player sits, etc. Pretty cool idea.

That's it for now...busy doing broadcast prep.
