On the road again...again...Jim Hiller sets franchise record with Tri-City, MacMillan brothers faceoff

"Chilly Willy" as I call him. "Will the thrill" as some of the other guys call him. He's the man that gets us from Point A to Point B.
Point A, I guess - the Langley Event Centre. Or as much as I can get of it in one picture as it is quite the monstrous facility.

The Dogs visit the Rivermen tonight before bussing up to Prince George - Point B, for Saturday's game against the Spruce Kings. Or point P or something like that if you count all the spots in between I guess!

Then we will turn around and head back to the Alberni Valley....Seems like a lot of hours on the road for just one game doesn't it? Too bad the TimberWolves and Millionaires don't call Williams Lake and Quesnel home anymore because it sure made sense to make a weekend and three games out of heading up North.

Catch the pregame show on Boston Pizza Bulldogs Hockey tonight from Langley at 6:45 with the play-by-play to follow at 7:00pm.

Tonight's 2nd Intermission feature guest is Ron Gallo, Play-by-Play voice of the Spruce Kings

What a great picture! Former Dogs Head Coach Jim Hiller (2004-2006) during the "Hockeyville" photo shoot outside the Multiplex. Thanks to Rick Schievink for passing along great news this week from the Tri-City Americans website as the Americans picked up a 1-0 win in Prince George and with it the 100th of Hiller's career with the Ams. It is a franchise record for a Coach getting to 100 wins with Jim getting there in 157 games - a gaudy .659 winning %. Well done Coach and congrats! Read more from the Americans website HERE

And thanks as well to Susie Quinn, Editor of the Alberni Valley News for passing along this cool story about former Bulldogs Mitch and Mark MacMillan - former linemates with the Dogs during the great 2009-2010 season - now opponents in the NCAA ranks. Off to catch the bus! More later.
