It's been a successful weekend so far for the Bulldogs but nothing to celebrate just yet as they have one more big test coming up this afternoon at the Frank Crane Arena. It's the first visit there by the Dogs this season, their first visit since Game 6 of the Coastal Conference Semi Finals last year when the Dogs eliminated the Clippers.
I'm looking forward to seeing the newly renovated Frank Crane Arena.
It was a fun night for the Dogs last night as they scored a season high 8 goals. It also might have been too fun at times as they also gave up 4 to the Capitals. Casey Bailey wasn't happy with his third straight two goal game, this time he finally got the hat trick on a great set up by Tyler Berkholtz and Sam Mitchell. Bailey is shooting the puck incredibly well right now and it shows on the board as he has 7 goals in his last three games.
Player of the week material, BCHL?
Brandon Adams and Liam Darragh also scored their first career goals last night with two nice efforts.Throw in the pink jersey festivities and it was an all around fun night.
The Clippers are a banged up team, but if the Dogs take them lightly it will be an all-trick-no-treat afternoon for sure. The Clippers had last night off while the Dogs will be playing their third game in two and a half days. The Clippers are coming off a heartbreaking last-minute loss Friday here to Langley, I expect them to come out with a bee in their bonnet from the opening puck drop.
It's game three in the season series "Battle for the Rival Hammer" with the Dogs leading 2-0 after 4-3 OT and 5-4 wins at the Dog Pound earlier this season.
Catch the pregame show today at 2:45 with the puck drop and play-by-play to follow at 3:00pm on 93.3 The Peak FM. Bruce MacDonald will join me to provide colour and analysis.
My second intermission guest will be former Bulldog and now Providence Friar Jordan Kremyr
See you at the Frank Crane, or talk to you from there!
Trick or Treat!
Hammer
