The series starts at the Pound Tuesday night. Game 2 is Wednesday.
It was 3-1 Nanaimo after 2, and 3-1 until late in the game. The game wasn't as urgent as I would have expected.
Moments after the Clippers Public Address Announcer came on during the play to yell "TWO MINUTES LEFT BRING YOUR CLIPPERS HOME" the Grizzlies scored short handed to make it 3-2. It looked like the game was tied for a fleeting moment just seconds later but Loic Boivin trapped the puck under his pad.
The Clippers did a great job of out working the Grizzlies in their own zone late in the game to salt the time away.
Not to make a Mountain of a Mole hill, I was a little taken aback of the NBA/WWE style PA Announcing, with the public address voice coming on with 4 minutes left, 2 minutes left, and 30 seconds left to urge the crowd on to cheer. I know its exciting and all....but last I read it wasn't allowed by the league, But no harm no foul I guess.
It will be a heck of a match up in Round 2 as the "Hump Series" returns for the first time since 2004-2005.

I think if the Bulldogs want the fans to get into it a little more, they should bring back that cheesy but familiar goal song. The crowd seems to love it...
