The Dogs are back on home ice tonight as they play their second last home game of the regular season when the Quesnel Millionaires make their only visit of the season the Dog Pound.
These teams last met in December as the Dogs pulled out a very hard fought 3-2 win at the Vault to head home with three wins in three games on their Northern road trip.
I expect nothing more than a hard fought game tonight. The Mills are a hard working and physical team. Whether they will be able to play that style of game that well in the Dogs building as opposed to the Vault remains to be seen. You can bet that they will try though.
Wins and points are big for the Dogs in the regard that they can break and tie some team records tonight for wins in a season (currently tied with the 05-06 team with 43) and points (currently 2 points behind the 91 earned by the 05-06 team)
More importantly, they just plain want to play well heading into the first round bye.
Catch the broadcast starting with the pre game show at 6:45 with the puck dropping at 7:00pm.
Tonight's second intermission guest is former Bulldog Harry Zolnierczyk, currently second in team scoring for the NCAA's Brown Bears to be sure to catch it in the second intermission show!
Bulldog fans - It's my hope you give these guys one heck of a welcome and standing ovation tonight.
I know it's been awhile since Saturday night, but your Dogs return home tonight fresh off winning all three in a tough road trip against 2 of the top 15 teams in Canada, breaking a league record in the process. The also take to the ice ranked 6th in Canada.
So - show them that you appreciate their efforts, and FIRE IT UP!
