Dogs break franchise mark for wins...FAN BUS to Nanaimo Friday, Langley at home to finish season Saturday, Banquet Sunday!

Mark MacMillan was the first star with a three point effort as he scored the first and third goals of the game and also added an assist as the Dogs broke the franchise record for wins in a season with their 44th of the campaign.

Matt Hatch - with his third of the year shorthanded on a beauty on a breakaway made it 2-0 late in the first. After Mark made it 3-0 early in the third Mitch finished the scoring with his 61st with 10 to play on the power play with a bang in on a rebound from in tight. Kevin Ross and David Dziurzynski had two helpers each.

Frank Slubowski picked up his fourth shutout of the season which ties him for the league lead with Kevin Jebson of Westside and Ryan Holfeld of Victoria.

Next up for the Dogs is the final week of the regular season with two games remaining...

Friday night is game 59 at the Frank Crane Arena in Nanaimo. The Bulldogs have a fan bus leaving the Multiplex Friday night heading over the hump. If you want to head down and have a great time while cheering on the Dogs on the road, I urge you to get to the Dogs office before the end of Tuesday to let them know you are ON THE BUS!

It takes a certain amount of people to make the bus a go so I hope it fills up fast.

I had a great time hosting the fan bus down to Nanaimo for the All-Star game as it was sold right out. It is always cool to hear the Bulldog crowd make so much noise in a visiting rink!

Here's a great "roar" on the road, from a second round playoff win in 2003-2004. Half of the rink in Surrey was PACKED with Bulldog fans. It's a cool video because you don't see them until the very end of the clip, but you HEAR them the whole time.

Game 60 goes Saturday night at home as the Langley Chiefs make their first visit to the Dog Pound since September. As the team has a bye through the first round of playoffs, this will be the last home game - and last game period - until Round 2 opens MARCH 9th.

Sunday afternoon is the Bulldogs Awards Banquet. Tickets are available by calling or visiting the Bulldogs office.....Other than the banquet, I'm told that the Dogs are working on another public event to get fans and the team and the community together to keep the "buzz" going. It's kinda ironic that the team returns to playoffs for the first time since 2006-2007 yet we all have to wait just a little longer for the first round to play out to even see a game!

Nice problem to have needing to wait just a little longer to see some playoff hockey.
