Bulldogs add Renz and Eviston....

Bulldogs add youth to roster with '93 D Ryan Renz and '92 F Pearce Eviston


PPRESS RELEASE
January 11, 2010


FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE


The Alberni Valley Bulldogs added two players to their roster on the January 10th deadline.


Joining the Bulldogs are 1993 born defenseman Ryan Renz and 1992 born forward Pearce
Eviston.


Eviston, 6'0" 185lbs, joins the Bulldogs after playing four months
with the 1st place Greater Vancouver Canadians in the British
Columbia Major Midget League (BCMML).


In 22 games Pearce lead
his team in scoring tallying 11 goals, 23 assists for a total of 34
points while also spending 50 minutes in the penalty box.


Eviston was selected to play in the BCMML All-star game that is being held January 15in Kelowna, however will not be eligible to play after joining the Bulldogs.


"Pearce is a player that has been on our staffs' radar since the beginning of the season. He is a
very competitive player. He is a solid all round forward that has a good offensive skill set,
combined with the ability to compete physically." comments GM/Head Coach Nolan Graham.
"Pearce is a great addition to lineup as we move forward this season, and in the future."


Renz, 6'2" 200lbs, joins to the Bulldogs after playing the first
half of the season with the Castelgar Rebels in the Kootenay
International Junior "B" League (KIJHL).


Renz scored 8 goals,
18 assists and served 133 penalty minutes over 29 games this
season for the Rebels, earning him a selection to the KIJHL All-
star game.

"Ryan is player that will bring great depth to our roster this season. He is an extremely hard
competitor, and adds a physical presence to our defensive unit. Combined with his ability to be
an offensive player, Ryan has already generated interest from numerous NCAA schools. We
look forward to having Ryan compete, and develop in a Bulldogs uniform." comments GM/Head Coach Graham
