Dogs news -Teddy Bear Toss SATURDAY, (SELL OUT THE SHACK) + Transactions Yesterday

No, the above isn't a picture of rituals or prayers to the "hockey gods"

It's an "assembly line" of autographs for something. I'm half not exactly sure and half worried I might let out a surprise so I'm not saying!

What I found interesting to watch was how this team just seems to do EVERYTHING as a team and a unit.

It's just signing stuff yet they had a whole system they were having fun with, guys making sure things were moving along at a good pace and guys making sure everyone signed everything and no one missed.

No big deal I'm sure, but just interesting to watch. I've seen lots of teams and dressing rooms before where it's as casual as everyone dropping by to sign on their own time, guys signing what they felt like and some not signing everything, guys saying to the trainer "Hey blank blank, can you put my siggy and my number on that for me"

I'm not critical of that way either, just found it unique to observe this group.

I don't wanna sound negative but didn't the Dogs suffer a bad loss against Powell River on a teddy bear toss night? Good cause, bad idea. For me, it's a momentum killer and nothing's worse than a lengthy delay. Teddy Bear toss is a bad thing for the home team I think.

Well you are quite right in that the Teddy Bear Toss has the possibility of becoming a delay and a momentum killer.

I'm not sure how you can open by saying you don't want to be negative, yet you then go into losses in the past, and how the toss is nothing but a bad thing?

The past is just that. Passed. The Dogs also had a great win on a Teddy Bear Toss night against Powell River, if I remember correctly. But so what, the win means as much as a the loss - or a tie or a forfeit for that matter - if it's in the past.

The Teddy Bear Toss is something to surely be addressed by the coaching staff. I'd be surprised if they haven't done that already or don't before the game on Saturday. I'm sure the Coaches will have a plan.

I must strongly disagree that the Toss is a band thing for the home team.

ANYTHING that gives the team the opportunity to give a Christmas gift and some Christmas cheer to someone less fortunate or down and out and suffering some tough luck is a GREAT thing. And the fact that it gets the players out in the community hand delivering the things makes it even better.

I'm not a fan of things that disrupt the game either. If it's 1 game out of 30 and the positives outweigh the negatives, I'm all for it though.

Thanks for your comments and your opinion.
